Study Treats

Funfetti cookie dough

I’m horrible when it comes to studying and eating, while my photos tend to have sweets or food I don’t actually eat that much because I literally forget to eat, particularly during exam time.

BUT, I do have a sweet tooth and so does my kid (he mostly ends up stealing the photo props) but one of our shared favourite treats (definitely occasional but to the price of butter and the amount of sugar – but it’s sooooo good) is cookie dough so I thought I’d share my favouriterecipe with you. This one is EGG FREE! which means you can eat as much of it as you can handle.

But you know what’s even better than plain cookie dough? Cookie dough wrapped in chocolate (which I did for my moms birthday one year and they were a HUGE hit , they’re time consuming though so I just add the chocolate chips usually). This recipe is made up from a bunch I googled and some of it was just me faffing about. So enjoy.

1/2 cup (100g) butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar (light or dark – whatever you prefer)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
2 tablespoons milk
1 cup chocolate chips of choice
Colourful Sprinkles

Boom. Easy peasy! That’s your cookie dough part done. (This amount of ingredients will make 25-30 cookie dough balls but it depends on how big/small you make them)

You can store them in an airtight container in the fridge for about a week but seriously, who the hell is going to have these yummies in the fridge for that long?!

**substitutions
Swap melted butter for coconut oil
Swap the brown sugar for  honey, demerara or maple syrup
Swap any kind of flour for the all-purpose flour including whole wheat or gluten-free flour

*** If you add a birthday candle to something the calories don’t count 😉
